My family and I were on vacation this past week. We took a seven day cruise on MSC cruise lines on the MSC Divina. Our destinations consisted of Nassau in the Bahamas, St Maarten and finally Puerto Rico. We drove to Milwaukee and then flew to Miami. We departed on Saturday and arrived in the Bahamas on Sunday.
For our excursion, we decided to do a Dolphin experience which took place inside of the Atlantis resort. This is where we all got to see a Dolphin up close while wading in their pool. We all also got to touch the top and bottom side of the dolphin. It was a lot of fun. We then went out to the beach where we spent a short bit of time in the surf. Along the way we saw amazing pools and a wave ride. The resort was clean and seemed to have a lot to do. Not sure how much is included with a stay but should definitely look into this. The time in the Bahamas was a bit too short. Another few hours there would have been nice.
Monday – St Maarten:
Here we went to a local beach located just at the end of an airport runway. It is one of the most dangerousairports to land at. We have some great shots of planes taking off and landing. Very neat!!
From there we went to another secluded beach and played in the waves for the afternoon. The cab ride back was very slow due to heavy traffic. Luckily we allowed for plenty of time.
The show this night was an opening show and had mostly singing. (1/5 Stars)
Tuesday – At Sea:
A day at sea. We spent an afternoon on the deck enjoying the sun and the swimming pools. The show had plenty of action and acrobatics that the whole family enjoyed. (3/5 Stars)
Wednesday – Puerto Rico:
For this day we set out without a planned excursion but quickly joined a “Tropical Rain Forest” tour. Here we took a short hike in the rainforest and saw a couple of waterfalls. Upon the return we also saw some parts of the old town including a castle and beautiful cemetery by the sea. We skipped the show this evening due to it being mostly singing and less action.
Thursday – Another day at sea:
Sun and fun by the pool and on the water slide. We also did the 4D Cinema. I did the Formula1 racer. Very fun! The show for the evening was a Pirates of the Carribbean theme (4/5 stars)
Friday was our last day – Again at sea
This time we found some chairs in the shade and enjoyed a warm but breezy afternoon relaxining and playing by the pool. The show for the evening was a Michael Jackson Tribute (3/5 stars)
Dining room food I would give 2/5 stars.
Room service 5/5 stars.
Buffet meals 4/5 stars.

Excursions 4/5 stars.
Overall Experience 4/5 stars.
