Day 7 – Recognizing Uniqueness

I give myself permission to:
 
 

  1. Research and Experiment to find work that energizes me and allows me to provide great opportunities for my family.
  2. Simplify my life by focusing on three passion themes (Playing/Recording Music, Photography, Health & Fitness)
  3. Find a way to help/inspire others through Blogs, Vlogs, Websites, Music, Photos..ideally within the themes I am passionate about
 
Actions from Day 7:
  • What makes me unique?
    • I play guitar
    • My job focuses me on innovation, new product development and project management…in any industry
    • I lived in England for 3 years
    • I have a black belt in Tigerclaw Kung Fu
    • I ride trail bikes
    • I fly model aircraft and drones
    • I am a google guide:)
    • I am working towards having an online presence with my photography and music making
  • What do I do differently than anyone else?
    • Travel for work
    • I have a continuous improvement mentality
  • What do I believe differently to everyone else?
    • I believe in people helping other people…including financial – A more socialistic view of ow things should work.  Help thy neighbor
  • What do people thank me for?
    • I don’t feel that people thank me too much.  An insight is that maybe I am not helping people like I should.

    • I should save as much money as possible for retirement–>
      • Save enough to live comfortably during retirement and to be able to send my kids to college.
    • What should I say is important to me?–>What is truely important to me?
      • Family, friends, job, lean, innovation, hard work–>immediate family, friends, experiences
    • What should I be doing?–>What do I really want to be?
      • Creating innovation content, maintaining the house–>Playing guitar, taking photos, mountain biking, boating, traveling
    • Who should I be?–>Who do I want to be?
      • The best dad, husband, brother, uncle, son, friend–>all of these
    • How much money should I make?–>How much money do I need to make to be happy?
      • More, more, more–>Enough to have fun, relax and travel/explore/have experiences, while preparing for life events and retirement 
    • I think I should spend my time….–>I really want to spend my time….
      • With family, working, exercising–>With family, exploring, creating, reflecting, learning by doing, exercising
